May 1, 2004 (Saturday)--Agate Auditorium in Agate Hall on the U of O Campus, 7:00 p.m. The annual show of the Middle Eastern Dance Guild of Eugene. Featuring special guest Margo Abdo O'Dell, and several local dancers including Inanna, Razia, and Elena Villa. April 30, 2004 (Friday)--Cafe Paradiso, 8:30 p.m., Americanistan's CD release party for their CD "Mosaic." Inanna and some stellar dancers from around the Northwest will perform. April 18, 2004 (Sunday)--Soreng Theater at the Hult Center, 2:30 p.m., see "April 17." April 17, 2004 (Saturday)--Soreng Theater at the Hult Center, 7:30 p.m., special guest of the Eugene Vocal Arts Ensemble in their concert, "A World of Song." The band Balladina is playing a set, mostly Eastern European folk music, but also the Arab song Aziza, to which I will perform. This will be a great show for people who like international music--both classical and folk. April 16, 2004 (Friday)--Cozmic Pizza (8th and Charnelton), 8:30 p.m. Inanna and 7 or so other dancers at the monthly performance of the Middle Eastern Dance Guild of Eugene. April 15, 2004 (Thursday)--WOW Hall, 7 p.m. I'm not in this one but it's special enough to point out: The Superstars of Bellydance tour comes through Eugene. Though lots of us in the bellydance community have mixed feelings about this tour, its title, etc., I do expect it to be a fabulous show--I've seen some of the "superstars" perform, and they're terrific. Plus, Americanistan is opening, along with our own talented Elena Villa. March 26, 2004 (Friday)--Cafe Paradiso, 8:30 p.m., Inanna and others at Americanistan's new "last Friday" gig at Paradiso. This month features dancer Asya. March 19, 2004 (Friday)--Cozmic Pizza (8th and Charnelton), 8:30 p.m. Inanna and 7 or so other dancers at the monthly performance of the Middle Eastern Dance Guild of Eugene. January 23, 2004--Cafe Paradiso, Eugene, Oregon, 8:30 p.m. Inanna and 7 or so other dancers at the monthly performance of the Middle Eastern Dance Guild of Eugene. December 13--with Ala Nar
at Sam Bond's Pub, 9:30 p.m. October 25--Cozmic Pizza
at the Strand, in a show featuring Aziza and the music of the fabulous Flying
Bokhara Orkestrah, $10. Dancers also include Magidah, Elena Villa, and Razia.

workshop on taxim and veil, 1 p.m to 3 p.m., $35, at Eugene Ballet--don't miss
it! She is moving to Montreal in December and this will be one of our last
opportunities to take advantage of having one of the world's best--and most

live music by Americanistan, especially featuring Janet Naylor on kanun. (Janet
is a renowned local celtic harp player who has also taken on the kanun, lucky
for us.) October 11--Performance
Magic Workshop and show at Oakland Elementary School in Oakland, Oregon,
hosted by Mezdulene. Workshop 1-4 p.m., $20 advance/$30 at the door, evening
